Land Records Analyst – Houston, TX Area
We are seeking a detail-oriented Land Records Analyst to join our team in the Houston, TX area. This position is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and maintaining land and pipeline documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance within company database systems.
Key Responsibilities
Review alignment maps to accurately identify pipeline assets and associated surface ownership/grantor information.
Categorize, organize, and file documentation in a manner consistent with alignment maps.
Create and maintain links between digital documents and corresponding parcel data.
Review land database records to verify accuracy of:
Grantor/Grantee information
Recording data
Property descriptions
Affected asset(s)
Tract and provision details
Process and maintain various land documents including easements, real property leases, deeds, permits, assignments, ordinances, and other related agreements.
Update, audit, and maintain land database systems as necessary.
Plot legal descriptions using deed plotting software and identify correct locations on as-built alignment sheets and GIS parcel data.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Experience in land records administration and management of pipeline system documentation.
Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets, and maps.
Understanding of common land agreement terminology including easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments.
Basic land title experience.
Experience working with Quorum data products (On Demand Land experience preferred).
Proficiency with Google Earth and GIS software (ESRI products required).
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
