The Land Supervisor is a seasoned agent, under the direction of the Project Manager or Client, who is responsible for supervising the activities of several Agents. The Land Supervisor directs the activities of Right of Way Agents under his/her supervision and brings focus to the information communicated and gathered by the Right of Way Agents to the Project Manager, Client, or appropriate service company personnel. This individual must be highly organized and proficient at tracking and reporting the project status to the Client/Project Manager as it relates to his/her project. The Land Supervisor ensures that the work of his/her team is efficient, accurate, and timely. He/she also ensures that the tools and information needed to perform their jobs are provided to the Right of Way Agents under his/her supervision. He/she must also have a good understanding of the legal aspects of the documents required to complete the project, general environmental issues, area property values and strategies relative to the acquisition of rights, and the permitting requirements of the jurisdictional agencies in the project area. The Land Supervisor must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Senior Right of Way Agent. Other factors such as education, other work experience, and licenses or accreditations may be taken into account in determining the years of experience qualification being met. The Land Supervisor has the discretion to recommend the hiring and releasing all field staff members under their direction.
